Price groups and modifiers still not working together

I've installed the 4 files from Core Hotfix#1: BVSoftware.Bvc5.Core.dll /BusinessRules/OrderTasks/ApplyVolumePricing.vb /BusinessRules/ProductTasks/ApplyPriceGroups.vb /Orders/Order.vb The last 3 are in the root. BusinessRules/OrderTasks/... don't exist - right? A user in the 30% off list price group is getting 30% off of the basic price. If modifiers are chosen which add to the price, the percentage of the discount goes down. Modifiers aren't getting tallied correctly. Did I miss a step? I thought I had this licked last month. Try it, maybe ... The last three aren't really needed, they are just the source for the changes. You actually just need to make sure that you drop the BVSoftware.Bvc5.Core.dll in the "bin" folder of your website. Please check in the Options > About section of the admin and paste your version number in here. This way we can make sure the patch is properly applied. |

Yep, that appears to be the latest version available. I will double check here to make sure that the issue is still fixed on our end and then we can troubleshoot the issue. |

Well, I ran some tests here and the functionality seemed to work as expected. The modifiers and the pricing group applied together just fine. Can you give me a screenshot of your product pricing workflow. |

@MitchA, You are not alone. We could not get this to function correctly either.

I tried reversing 'Apply Sales' and 'Apply Price Groups'. No difference.
At the beginning of the month, I loaded Hotfix 1 core file and I tested the wholsesale discount. It worked fine, I have a practice invoice (just dug out of my recycle pile) to prove it. The discount calculated correctly no matter what modifiers were selected...
For the life of me, I can't think of any files I've touched or modified other that those running graphics, styles sheets, suggested items... etc. If it would help, I can list the files that have been changed since loading the new core file. |

Scott,
When you loaded (if you did) Hotfix #1, did the user group discount and modifiers work then? Did you alter/load any files in the meantime?
I've found that something changed to cause the calculation to revert back to the way it was pre-Hotfix #1. |

Got it!!!How about this, guys.... Make sure you set up your Price Groups to take the discount off of the SITE price, not the LIST price! See the pic below: Doesn't it say LIST PRICE? Why would I set up a price group to use the SITE price? I'm really PO'd about this. List price/price group discounts don't work with product modifiers, apparently only SITE price does. It's time to spend some serious time on the manual. I looked in both the BV4 and BV5 manual - Nothing! Zip! Nadda! This isn't the first or tenth time I've been stonewalled for lack of documentation. Yeah, we will get something into the manual for that. *From our standpoint*, this makes sense though. The site price is the price that is display on the site for the user. While the List Price is the MSRP and the Cost is just the cost of the product. The modifiers don't really affect the List Price or the Cost, but they do change the amount that is displayed on the site for a product. While this may not make any sense to you for your particular business needs, this is the way that we picked for it to work internally. Thank you for letting us know of our deficiencies in the documentation and we will try and get it fixed soon. Thanks! |
