When a new user purchases a product from the BV Store, it seems they are NOT required to register. If this is true, can this be changed?

If it can not be changed then won't this user have to put in their address and info info all over again every time they order form the store? It would also seem there would be no way for them to check on the status of an order.

Yes, you can require users to create an account/login before purchase.

Can you briefly tell me how to make it mandatory that a user must 1st create an account before they purchase .... or can it be part of the purchase process. Do not want to force them to create an account to browse the store.

Thanks

1) Options
2) Workflows
3) Edit: Checkout Started
4) Add: Require Login Before Checkout

I'll think this is what you want.

Options - Site Settings - Orders. Check option Force Email Address on Anonymous Checkout, to get the email address in there.
Options - Site Settings - Addresses. Display and require what information you want required.

Thanks for your replies ... they were a great help.

I accidentally "thumb downed" the 1st reply which was about work flows. It was great.

Now for my next question ... where do you find out more about "Workflows?" and which current work flow tasks are turned on or off?

Thanks
