This was asked in a different thread by another user and saw no response, so I thought I would repost it, as it is an issue.

When a Pending PayPal order clears, is there SUPPOSED to be a communication from PayPal back to BV5 telling the store that the order is now PAID?

As was stated in the other post, it's at times difficult to keep on top of all the emails and easy to miss one from PayPal that the payment has now cleared.

Thanks

Also, there isn't even a way to mark the pending paypal payment as paid by hand once it does clear.

I requested this before, I would very much like to see this fixed. :)

I know it worked in our old shopping cart... so there must be a way?

Hey Guys,

How do you have your PayPal IPN settings configured? The settings are configured in your PayPal account and they should look like this:

Instant Payment Notification (IPN) On
Instant Payment Notification (IPN) URL: http://www.YourSiteURL/IPNHandler.aspx

Thanks,

Everett -- thanks -- perhaps that is the cause of a couple of PayPal problems -- I didn't see any mention of IPN settings in the PayPal setup instructions, so I had mine turned off. I'll set mine now and see if that doesn't fix the issue(s)

No, actually I had mine set to:
https://store.attachedtobaby.com/confirm.aspx?paypal=3

Not sure where I got that from! Maybe my old cart???

Hope this works! :)

Angela,

Yes -- that is the SF6 IPN -- I did change mine and I had one PayPal Pending post back to the store while others have not -- it's not working consistently.
