We're evaluating BVC5. We're currently running a more or less custom asp.net 1.1 site that has many limitations. Part of my requirements is integration with Quickbooks Enterprise 7.0. Currently, we export P/N, Description, Pricing and a few other fields to populate the SQL database on the web server before it's massaged and categorized. The export from Quickbooks is done via a third party product that imports Quickbooks data into Excel using QODBC. My questions are:

1) What add-on product would I need with BVC5 to integrate with Quickbooks Enterprise? Any links, info or tips would much appreciated.

2) Will BVC5 work with MS SQL 2000 or does it need 2005?

TIA!

Hello.

1. BV Software offers an add-on to connect to QuickBooks:

Click Me

2. BV Commerce 5 requires SQL Server 2005. It will not work with SQL 2000.

I hope this helps!

Thanks for the link. I read the product info and ths add-on allows you to pull data from BVS >>> QB. I need the other way around. I need to pull data out of QB and import it into the BVS database to add new products. How else do you add 10,000 new products to the catalog??

This is a question for anyone that has this connector. Can anyone tell me if you've actually got the connector to work with BVC2004? I've been unable to get it to work. And would like to know if it is possible.

Billy,

Yes, we have many customers using the connector with both BV Commerce 2004 and BV Commerce 5.
