Hello,
Trying to refund a credit card in the payment tab after going to the order details page and receive the following error message:
"Transaction Declined - A valid referenced transaction ID is required."
Initial payment info received contains the ID:
<SPAN id=ctl00_MainContent_PrivateNotesField_ctl03_lblAuditDate>8/3/2007 <SPAN id=ctl00_MainContent_PrivateNotesField_ctl03_NoteField>Charge Success: Transaction Approved - This transaction has been approved. Transaction Reference Number: 1513261872 Transaction Response Code: 751022 Response AVS: Y Response Code: 1 Response CVV2: M Response Text: This transaction has been approved. Amount: $188.26
Info received after trying refund and void options:
<SPAN id=ctl00_MainContent_PrivateNotesField_ctl05_lblAuditDate><SPAN id=ctl00_MainContent_PrivateNotesField_ctl05_lblAuditDate>8/6/2007 <SPAN id=ctl00_MainContent_PrivateNotesField_ctl05_NoteField>Refund Warning: Transaction Declined - A valid referenced transaction ID is required. Transaction Reference Number: 0 Transaction Response Code: 3 Response AVS: P Response Code: 3 Response CVV2: M Response Text: A valid referenced transaction ID is required.
<SPAN id=ctl00_MainContent_PrivateNotesField_ctl06_lblAuditDate>8/6/2007 <SPAN id=ctl00_MainContent_PrivateNotesField_ctl06_NoteField>Void Warning: Transaction Declined - A valid referenced transaction ID is required. Transaction Reference Number: 0 Transaction Response Code: 3 Response AVS: P Response Code: 3 Response CVV2: M Response Text: A valid referenced transaction ID is required.
Everything on my payment tab is displaying execpt the "security code" (which is good) and the amount to refund, which the user enters.
Maybe it has something to do with the Transaction Reference Number not showing on the page where you are preforming the refund request?
Thanks, Brad

if the transaction ID field is blank, you need to populate it. If you use authorize.net........go there, get the transaction ID for that transaction, copy/paste it into the transaction ID field in BV, and then submit your refund.

Check with support -- they have a new file that you can install that allows you to do refunds from the BVAdmin screen -- works great! |

Thanks guys. I contacted Everett and got a new version of the payment.dll file. Let's see if that works for me.

My guess, after reading the messages before yours, is to contact BV Software support. |
