Hi,
I have an order, I edit it, assign it to a user that is part of a price group but the prices for the items don't get updated.

Any idea how to get this fixed or if it's part of a fix which one should it be?

This is URGENT for me please.

Thanks,

Corneliu

I'm not sure how you *assign* an order to a user -- who placed the order? Or was it entered by you on the New Order Screen? But I have found that if I add a user to a Price Group and then Edit that order for that user, it will make the changes to the prices.

So perhaps you should first assign the order, then place the user in a Price Group, then edit the order.

Personally, it is these type of price updates that I am STRICTLY AGAINST occuring. In my mind once an order has been placed and therefore accepted by the system, the only thing that should change the pricing is an admin manually editing the pricing. Our clients have had several problems with this "feature" in that there pricing is adjusted on a daily basis. Therefore, customer places an order "yesterday" and then they need to change something "today", the pricing changes to the new pricing which is often higher than "yesterday's" price.

Once an order is marked placed, I do not think the pricing should ever change unless an admin (or store employee with appropriate permission) specifically overrides the pricing.

I agree with your caplink but BV has a bit of a chicken and egg problem.
1. When you create from Admin a new order you can't add some discounts (e.g. Admin discount).
2. If I assign the order to the user when I create it it will automatically email him a receipt
So if I want to add an admin discount I can't do it when I assign the order so I have to choose whenever I assign it to the user now and get email to the customer with the wrong details or assign it later and email it with the right details.

Also what do I do if I manually add a product to the order? I need the current price to be set for that.

Regards,
Corneliu.
