There is a great feature in BV5 to create a discounted shipping rate under Offers - Shipping. There you can create a shipping discount and its shown to the customer in the "Shipping rates" with the original and discounted price. The customer is made aware of the real discount being offered.

You can create the same discount per product by putting in a negative dollar amount in the Handling Fee on the product page, but don't get the original and discount comparison just the result amount. We sell heavy items (20lbs that retail for $70 and UPS ground can cost $20 plus)

The problem with Offer - Shipping is that is for the whole store and cannot be set for individual products. Am I missing something or should this be an Enhancement request.

Yet Offers - Free Shipping has the option to pick individual products. But its free shipping only and the customer does not get the benefit of how much they are saving.

If Free Shipping and Shipping where merged thats what I'm looking for.
