SP2 - Add To Cart - Where's the error messages

I put 0 (zero) in for the quantity and it adds it to the cart. The price doesn't get added to the shopping cart total, nor does the product get tallied in the Minicart.
However, it still directs me to the cart page and the product appears in the cart.
That shouldn't happen. An error message should appear.
Additionally, when I go to add the product to the cart without any choices selected, the page just reloads. Where's the error message?!?!?!?!?!

I just tried that, I also went to the cart page, but the 'checkout' button is gone. If I added a '1' to the quantity and updated, the 'checkout' button still didn't show up. I did try to add to cart without any choices (modifiers in my case) chosen, I did get the 'feild missing' error. |

hmmmmm.....my main concern at the moment is the "Field Missing Error" not showing up on my site.
What template are you using for the products? |

OK thanks, i'm using a modified BV2004 template so I'll do a comparison and see if that's the culprit.
anybody else out there using the BV2004 layout for their product templates? |

Matt we are using the BV2004 template with SP2 and seeing the same issue as you. Enter a qty of 0 and it will add it to cart with no error msg. Item in Cart with 0 dollars showing for price. Richard www.somethingmorestore.com

Are you getting any "Field Missing Errors" on a BV2004 template? (i.e. add it to the cart without selecting any choices) |

Matt,
I am getting a "Field Missing" error on the BV2004 template (and I wish that were a Site Term I could change) -- but I do not get an error message when adding 0 to cart. |

I'm using bv2004 product template and get the same result as matt when I enter 0 in the quantity initially.
It does remove the item if I change the qty to 0 once in the cart.
updating does not cause a checkout button to appear.

Thanks guys, I must've fiddled with something on the BV2004 template in regards to the error message so I'll grab a stock template and see what I did. |

I loaded up stock BV2004 & BV5 templates. I have a product with choices.
When I don't make a choice and hit add to cart, I'm not getting a Field Missing Error message displaying. I checked this on other sites and they are displaying the Field Missing Error message. |
