I just duplicated the behavior on a brand new install of the SP3 B1 full download, local XP, local SQl, clean install with no other versions installed:
1. Create category with custom url 2. Create product with custom url, assigned product to category 3. Item does not appear when the category is clicked.
EDIT: It has nothing to do with custom urls...I just created a second product and category with stock URLs and it still doesn't show.
I'd pull the download, there's a major bug.

Hopefully others can provide feedback going forward, I've rolled back to SP2 on our semi-live site. I'm a little dismayed the category issue was not caught in initial testing it's so fundamental to other new components such as the "sort by" feature.
Also, I do not see the product choice grid that was much discussed in the version released today. Was that dropped from SP3?

I don't see products either in the front-end either. Although from my perspective (backend developer) this is only a very minor inconvience. I'm sure they will have it worked out in the next drop.
It looks like you are not in a position to experiment with less-than-production builds, so you should probably skip the betas. |

Based on previous comments I assumed the beta was pretty far along, it's obvious it isn't. You can't even test some of the new features if you can't actually view anything on the category page. At least do a walk through of an average purchase before releasing it to beta. One click and 1 minute revealed a serious flaw. Let's be honest, how did that get missed?
I'll be interested in seeing if I missed the product choice grid or if it just got dropped.
Hopefully more than the existing one or two will download and flush out the bugs.

I think I am being honest. Betas should not be used on a production site. Ever. But especially when the author says "*We do not recommend installing the beta on live stores*". I can't imagine how anyone could be more honest.
I'm also sure more people will look at this over the next week or three. |

My comment had nothing to do with the state of our store or where the beta was installed. It's awfully tough for any of us to find flaws in the new features if the old features no longer work that lead up to the new features :shakehead: . This was a simple one Andy, I'm surprised it was missed is all that I am saying and I'm hoping it is not indicative of things to come.

I know you guys are working hard and the holiday is coming. Obviously we're going to need several beta candidates and I'm just wondering when the next version is roughly expected?
