Admin > Orders > New Order... price group member doesn't get discount

It looks like, if I need to place an order for a member of a price group (some still insist on faxing their orders to me) I HAVE to go through the front door and sign in as the price group member to place the order and receive the price group discount.
If I go through Orders > New Order on the admin page, the price group discount doesn't apply, even though I entered the user's username.

I just tried placing an order for a customer with a price discount and the discount does not get applied to the order. Not good. I also just installed the Hotfix associated with new orders not properly assigning users but that must not have been related since it didn't fix the problem. Anyone else? Is a fix in the works with SP3?

I've seen this too -- I'm hoping that it is related to the issue where a Price Group customer needs to be logged in BEFORE checking out to get the discount applied and that this will be fixed in SP3.
When I place an order through BVAdmin I use the "call us payment option" not charging their card, then go back in, Click to Edit the Order, then Save it, the discount will be applied, and then go to Payments and applie the credit card charge. |

Wow, Joe. Wouldn't it be easier to just enter the site from the home page, sign in as the client and place an order the usual way? Better yet, train your buyers to do this themselves. I know...., knuckle-draggers. |

Actually it's not because I first have to log out of my account -- then log in under their account, shop, log out of their account, back in on mine and then process the order. I guess I was so frustrated at HAVING to do orders this way under my old cart, that I just love doing it on the backend no matter how many steps it takes! :-) |

You could open a second browser just for placing 'outside' orders... leave the other signed in as admin. |

Has to be another form of browser through -- I've done that, shop in Firefox or Safari -- I really find it much easier plugging in SKUs in Admin than I do hunting down items on my own store! |
