When is the drop-ship order (email) sent to the manufacturer? When the order is placed and the credit card is authorized, or after the credit card is captured.


I ask because without an email log, I'm not sure what I'm comunicating and when to the outside world, but also, SP3 is going to have the ability to edit shipping charges. I'll be looking at this before capture - I'd like this to also be before the drop-ship email goes out.

Mitch -- I'm not sure about with credit cards, but I do know that if it is a Pending PayPal order, it is not sent until the order is Paid -- Most of my drop ship vendors I have the email sent to me and then I forward -- which is soemthing you can do -- my problem is that BV is sending out THREE copies of the email and I can't for the life of me figure out how to fix that.

I got a call yesterday, a customer received 5 copies of his order confirmation. He wanted to be sure he wasn't being charged 5 times. Many times when testing, I've received from 1 to 3.

It's the little stuff that causes customers to doubt our abilities.

Maybe SP3 has a fix for the multiple email problem, something I've seen from day one.
