What message will the customer get if they order more than what is available in inventory?
Say i have a product that only has 1 available in inventory. A customer chooses to place 2 of them in thier cart. Will they get a message that lets them know that part of the order will be backordered? In testing right now that doesn't seem to be happening. After i add the 2 to my cart and then go back to the product and try to add another to my cart, it is letting me know the item is on backorder.
How is this handled or should be handled by the store.
Also is there a way to display to the customer how many are available in inventory? |

Scott Mech did it for me, Dan -- plus I added a link in the out of stock message when an item is out of stock so folks could open a page where I list when items might be available.
There is a BV4Inventory template available -- it's in one of these forums somewhere -- it doesn't ship with the product. |

BVC2004 is the one to look for under the product templates. |
