Does the keyword report work in 3.1?

Is there a possiblity of a hotfix released for this in 3? We don't have the resources right now to update 3 to 3.1 with all the custom mods..and also want to see how others utilize 3.1 first. Without the hotfix it's kind of penalizing the early adopters of each of your patches.

Works fine for me -- of course it worked fine in 3.0 as well as earlier. I don't think it ever did NOT work.

That's odd because it was supposedly something that required a core fix that was to be done in Sp 3.1 Are we talking about the same things? Our keyword search report stopped updating as soon as we upgraded to sp3.

I have hundreds of words in my Keyword Search results. I just logged onto the store, searched for a term, and came back and it did update by adding one number to that search phrase.

Hopefully they'll clarify whether it was fixed, for some of us it stopped working with SP3. 3.1 it's supposed to be fixed.

Do your customers get a message if no results are returned in 3.1 or is that left unfixed? Customers should get a message just saying "no results"....I know it was discussed by others, but don't know if it got fixed.

Justin is there a possibility for a hotfix for 3 users? We're going to wait out 3.1 to avoid another upgrade cycle but would like that feature.

Thanks

The fix for this is inside of the core dll, so a hotfix for it would be problematic. Are you building a custom core dll? If so, I can give you to the code to make the change. Otherwise, if you are running SP3 with all hotfixes, SP3.1 literally only has about 3 differences from SP3.1 with all hotfixes. And those changes are for things like this where hotfixes would be troublesome.

Okay, we'll wait another day or two and do the full update. I wasn't sure what was different. We've read before but what's the best way to manually do the upgrade, run something like beyond compare on the files? Do we just manually drop the bin files to replace what's there when done?

Thanks

The bin files can just be dropped into the bin folder. If you have made changes to any of the updated files then you will need to merge them, otherwise you can just copy these over the current files as well.
