So whats the consensus on rewriting your Product url's to a custom extension
I noticed that my Product URL's are quite long in the address bar, does it real matter to search engines ?
If you do custom URL's, does that qualify as a 301 redirect. ( I read some SEO write up that said Google doesn't like 301's )

I think google likes it if your URL matches your product. For example a big search term for us is Harrison's Pellets, so my category page rewrites to harrisons.aspx -- it lends to higher organic listings, I think. |
