Prior to upgrading to the latest SP3.2 service pack we would check our shopping cart reports page in the admin section and there would only be maybe 50 or less carts showing. Now after the upgrade we are now getting 1,000's of carts with all being empty....maybe somedays only a half dozen showing items in the cart. My question is what has changed in the lastest service pack. I have checked the code from the orginal pages which were posted by Marcus to the ones that came with the new service pack and they are the same. The only thing I haven't checked is the stored procedure, maybe that has changed. Anyway is this a bug?

I'm seeing this also, 0.00. A look at the cart shows it's empty.

This cart can be edited, is 'paid', and you can create a package. Pretty cool. I realize this can't get very far unless you wish to ship an empty box to nobody, but does Quickbooks see this as a gap in the database?

I placed two orders in the cart last night while testing then bailed out.. neither is on the list. What is the trigger for getting a cart to show up on this report?

Dan,
Marcus posted this and you can find it here. It was suppose to be included in SP3.

Mitch...another good feature is it lets you see what people are actually looking for by placing the items in the carts. We have actually completed sales by contacting the people by phone and finalizing the order. As it stands now with all the carts being added, from where I don't know, it takes the page a good amount of time to load and viewing and going back just takes too long to make the report useful anymore.

Any visitor will trigger a shopping cart ID which will show up in your report. If you have 200 visitors a day you will have 200 carts with many being zero.

This probably isn't a bad thing but a filter or 2nd report for just carts with items would be nice. This way you can track abandoned cart rates and also filter through the clutter.

Useful: Add a "total carts" for the report and a "filled cart" and give us the percentage of abandoned.

I'd rather see a list of the product pages that have loaded. This, rather than filled/abandoned carts shows interest that fades upon looking at the product and the price. I 'd like to see how often a product is viewed WITHOUT making it into a cart.

In order for the cart report to be of any value, a shopper will have had to put something into it. The list of 0.00 carts isn't counting accurately either. My annon visits last night aren't on the list.

Clicking on the last one for 2/15 (0.00) shows a set of note cards abondoned. This should show 19.95 on the list instead of 0.00 See below:

The cart page is a good start, but there isn't much there that we can't guess over the long term. I'm willing to bet the product most often abandoned in carts is also the product that's most often viewed and is the top seller.

The real value of 'spying' on shoppers is to watch what they look at, and get a second stab at making a sale. How often do you place something in your cart at a store and walk out empty? I'd rather see what you look at and decide not to even place in the cart. This would tell me that the price is too high, the picture stinks, a better description is needed.

Testing a product tonight... my abandoned cart showed in the list, that's why there's an email addy on it. It shows $559.00 in the Shopping Carts list and $684.00 on the Order. So the modifiers aren't coming in. It shows the wrong date and time.

I sent myself an order confirmation email!!!!! I didn't get an admin order notification.

Mitch I agree with you, this report could be carried a lot further with some filtering. As is stands I would just like to see the filled carts only, but this is over my head and will require some code work I'm sure.
