BV first for us today . . . customer order came in and when we viewed it one of the 10 items ordered was already marked "shipped". Nothing was added to the quantity column for this item so obviously nothing was charged at checkout.

I checked and the item is "active" and there's nothing suspicious in the shipping settings for this product. I must be missing something.

Has this happened to anyone before?

Thank you,

Joe

None shipping items are marked Shipped if you have zero quantity or none shipping item.

Thanks, Bob, but the "non-shipping" box is unchecked on the product page and for both variations (whole bean and ground) of this product (Butter Rum coffee). All of the settings were cloned from other flavored coffee products and the customer ordered nine others in the same order that all were marked "Unshipped" as they usually are.

Yeh. But I think it was the zero quantity that triggered the Shipped flag on that one item. The system is saying he ordered zero, and didn't pay for it so you shouldn't ship it. And that would be an easy mistake for the merchant to make.

OK, Bob, thank you. I thought a "zero" quantity automatically deleted the item from the cart, but you're probably right. Thanks again!

Yeh. You're right on the should be deleted part as well. But I suspect that issue stems from a whole other thread on Editing - Voiding items and orders in admin. How your site reacts could depend on what patch you are running.

So... if a shopper marks an item '0' quantity instead of deleting it from the order, it shows up as 'shipped'?

Are there any other places the product isn't being deleted properly - like shipping calculations, sales tax, inventory, drop-ship notices, volume discount tallies....

Is there any good reason to have the item show up on the order at all?
