Is there an easy way to filter carts with $0 value or exclude them from cart reports? Would someone be willing to do this for a fee? IE create a report that eliminates the $0 reports from the list entirely or just gives a summary total of $0 carts for tracking data? What we're finding is some of the bots in disguise that don't bother to check the robots file end up pulling files in such a way that they are generating cartids and therefore we have hundreds of entries on our promo items site. The net result is a report so long it sometimes crashes the app.

Thanks

I just now got it to copy paste before crashing, almost 20k carts. Ugh! To find the few with items in them is maddening and our visitor count is not even a fraction of that FWIW.

Anyone want a quick project, name the price.

This works, thank you. Files go to BVModules, Reports, ShoppingCarts, BTW.

There still needs to be a way to clear the carts off of the database. Cart Cleanout.

I have tried to improve on this a little for the people just wanting to see carts with items and dollars amounts.

I added this:

<%@ Register Assembly="Anthem" Namespace="Anthem" TagPrefix="anthem" %>

right above the

<asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent" Runat="Server">

I then changed this line of code:

<asp:CheckBox ID="CheckBox1" runat="server" AutoPostBack="true" /> Hide $0 carts

to this:

<anthem:CheckBox ID="CheckBox1" Checked="true" runat="server" AutoPostBack="true"></anthem:CheckBox> Hide $0 carts

As always make a backup before you start and test test test.

BTW these changes were made to Better Builts shopping carts view.aspx file posted above.

Here's a new version that allows you to choose the max records to return (200) by default, lets you choose your page size, and hides 0$ carts by default.

Thanks for the bump on this we all missed it.

If you have a donation mechanism we'd gladly do so, just tested, this is a great improvement. Hopefully BV can find a way later to delete all $0 carts so we can extend the length of time carts are kept.

Hi,

We have developed some changes to this report and added some functionality requested in this thread.

Updates to the base reporting capabilities are available at no charge.

To enable advanced features: 1 Click conversion of shopping carts to orders and Cart cleanup of orders less than a specific threshold (ie...to clean 0 dollar carts) will require a license. Licenses will be on a per store basis and will be offered for a modest $35 for an introductory period. Attached is a beta build that has been tested against Bvc5 SP2-SP3.2.2. We are looking for feedback, bugs, and enhancement requests while we clean up the UI a bit. The beta build is set to expire June 21, 2008, please note that this expiration only applies to the "advanced" features, basic reporting will function normally beyond that point.

To install, extract attached zip file and copy files into your web store. Directory hierarchy of files should match as layed out in the archive. After extraction go to Plugins -> Shopping Cart Administration to install the advanced features of the software. This (clicking the install button) should only be done during off-peak hours as changes made by the installer will cause existing user sessions to be reset.

Would love to try this but can't get to your site, and the existing download available here expired a month ago?

I may be missing something here, but isn't there a cart cleanup feature in the admin??? Perhaps this was a feature added more recently than this post.
