I am just about to create my BVC5 site. I have sucessfully installed 5.3.2.20 of the store creator app and have completed all the neccessary info to create a site remotely. When I click the start button to create the site, nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Derek

Are you installing via FTP? Do you have the "Create Virtual Root" checkbox on or off?

Hi Marcus, When creating the site via FTP it does not give me the option to select or de-select the "Create Virtual Root".

Thanks,

Derek

Could this have anything to do with my license file? I bought BVC5 in June of 2006 but am just getting around to installing now.

Thanks,

Derek

....I have tried on 3 different systems, 1 Vista and 2 XP but get the same thing. BVC5 site manager installs fine. I open it and input all info to create a store via FTP and it's almost as if the "start" button is disabled...just nothing happens.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Derek

The initial license file does expire in 90 days or so. Try using a fresh copy (downloaded from your account the bv store).

Thanks Andy,

I did use a fresh download of both the BVC5 application and the license file. I am puzzled as to why the site creator won't proceed with the creation of site. I would expect if something was missing, either invalid license, some missing component etc it would kick up an error with the issue but nothing happens at all.

I guess I could do a manual installation, just thought I would see if anyone else had this issue.

Thanks,
Derek

Can you try to create a local site and then upload it using FTP?

Where should the license file go?
