Does anyone have a simple method to create a larger picture when hovering over a set of small category pics?
I'm thinking javascript on this one.

We would want this in the category view. An example would be like this:

I'll shared what I've come up with when I get something to work.

Cheers,

Dave

Have a look at my site:

Click on the product picture or on the small icons in the Top Products block.
Is that what you are looking for? I'm using Highslide for that.

Corneliu,

No way! That's really cool.

I wish I knew about that before.

I'm guessing you can easily configure it to instead of onclick, do an onhover effect so when the user simply moves the mouse over the pic, it resizes it?

I'll download it and try it out.

My difficult approach was to create a helper class to add a 'onMouseOver' and 'onMouseOut' attribute to the image in asp. It was killing me.

Thanks and ps, your site is well done.

Dave,
I'd try to avoid hooking the onmoueover. I generally hate when stuff just pops around as I heratically move the mouse over the page :)
Maybe on mouse over you can just add a layer over the image and say "Click for a larger image" so it's obvious you have to click but it's not intrusive.

Hi Corneliu,

I tried to install the viewer with partial luck:

http://uniquebannersonli.../Departments/Sports.aspx

When you click on the picture, the load keeps spinning.

I checked on the HighSlide FAQ site and it says:
"Check that the hs.graphicsDir setting in the top of your HTML file is correct. If the script doesn't find the outline graphics, the expander will not show, and a Loading... label will keep showing. "

I think this is what happening, but I could be wrong.

How did you set up your hs.graphicsDir? Since the pictures are loaded on-the fly dynamically, I'm not getting this part.

Cheers,

Dave
