An elderly gentleman called today pretty frustrated that he could not check out after he clicked the "Copy to Cart" button on the Order History page. I had to actually log in myself to figure out why this was this case and didn't realize that once you hit "Copy to Cart", fill in your new or same quantities and then hit "Update" that you actually need to leave the Shopping Cart page and come back to it in order for the "Checkout" button to appear. Is there a setting that I'm missing that would allow a customer who wishes to place a repeat order to simply copy to cart, enter quantities, update and checkout without leaving the Shopping Cart page? Or is there a reason that it works this way? Thank you, Joe www.georgehowe.comBV5 SP2

Joe,
If the checkout button isn't appearing it is most likely a bug. Have you tested with the latest service packs?

Same here - SP3.2. No button until I click "Checkout" in the top nav menu, then it appears. Using 'update' doesn't get it to show either. I'm not seeing this problem on my SP3.2 site.
I go to order history. Click "copy to cart". I then click on "view Cart" takes me to the Cart.aspx page and the Checkout button is there just as it should. I tried it with three different past orders, No problem here. |

WOW....
I am signed in....
If I click 'copy to cart' on an order where I was signed in AND I was the 'Sold To", I get a "1" quantity and the 'Checkout' button appears. The mini cart shows the cart's contents as "1" and a $ figure.
If I click 'copy to cart' on an order where I was signed in but entered SOMEONE ELSE"S 'Sold To" info, I get null quantity and the 'Checkout' button does not appear. The mini cart shows the cart's contents as "0" and $0.00.
The only difference I can see is whether I was the old order's "Sold To".
Hope this helps. |

Okay,
Maybe this has something to do with a security check that does not allow you to view another person's order even if you know the GUID. This is just speculation but maybe the "owner" of the order is getting carried over to the cart too.
