I know this going back on a few things from the navigation problems before, but id like to try this. I want to take screenshot A and make it like screenshot B. When I look at sites like bestbuy.com, I see they dont have the full category structure for a subcategory displayed. Thats what I would like to do. If i click on a sub category, I would only like to see the sub category and the children in the subcategory and the roots. This way I can really make more use of the space before my fold on the right. Currently, I feel like I need to show all the subcateogries on the right because the navigation structure on the left pushes the current cateogry down alphabetically with all the other cats. If we take out the other cats, I can make more use of the space before the "fold" instead of putting cats there as well. You may want to look at some other supplier for your menu system rather than use what is OOTB -- If you look at a PanelBar menu (such as like at http://www.telerik.com/p...s/panelbar/overview.aspx) -- that is one example -- there are many out there. |
