OOTB the user can select their criteria and enter their keywords. This will control the output after the search button is hit. Works like it should.
However, we're watching users on the site via sightmax and they're searching through the search box that we have in the header. changing the criteria after the fact has no effect as the search button needs to be hit again. Without proper instruction, they're headed elsewhere. Even with proper instructions, they're going to say "why do we have to redo it?". Aggravating, but it's the truth.
Is there any way to get the Sort Options that are currently used in categories onto the search results page to make this a no brainer? |

I second that PLUS what about negative keywords on products? When a customer types in a keyword, products with that keyword would show up and products with the negative keyword would not.
On our site when someone types in "Autoclave", anything with autoclave in the description shows up, even for products that have nothing to do with autoclaves. Negative keywords would help this ;)
Sorry Matt, didnt want to hijack your thread. the sort options will help out with my problem as well.

You're not hijacking anything. Constant improvement is the name of the game. |
