I don't know whether this is a feature or a bug, so I hope someone can advise.
In one of our stores we allow payment by Paypal as well as via the credit card gateway. The Paypal payment seems to work correctly EXCEPT when the customer pays using Paypal eCheck. In this case the order is not marked as completed/unpaid and does not get listed as an order. We only found it in the abandoned carts report, but the Paypal eCheck is in process - we had notification from Paypal, so it is a real order.
Is this a bug, have we got something set up wrongly (in Workflows, maybe) or did the customer do something wrong at the Paypal end?
We don't want to have to keep checking in the abandoned carts for lost orders!

I did not get any reply from this post.
It is becoming a real problem for us that Paypal echeck orders are not being marked as completed orders and therefore only appear in the abandoned shopping carts.
Does anyone have any suggestions about what we can do?

I haven't seen this specific problem, but just to check -- do you have the option checked under your Payment - PayPal to allow "unverified addresses"? Maybe that would make a difference. |

Many thanks, Joe. That was causing the problem. I have checked the box now and I think that has fixed the problem.
