Really impossible to create a product will ship in two boxes (1 order/2 boxes) and get a ship quote. Perhaps Fed Ex, UPS gags on a ship quote like this so it may not be possible(?)... Anything in the works to make this as reliable as shipping 1 order/1 box. |

Is this one specific product, Mitch? Could you create "two" products, one that isn't visible, but yet is added as an cross-sell/upsell when you add the other part to the cart, then both could be set to ship separately |

Not a bad idea.
How about a 'buy one, get one free' thing? Would the free one generate it's own shipping costs if set to shipping separately? |

You're stretching my mental capacity with that one -- try it and see what happens! -- I would guess you would end up with two packages, two parts on each. |
