Adding upsell causes main product to disappear from cart

First time I've tried using Upsells.... 3.2 I added an upsell item to a product and checked - Options > Orders - "Display Up Sells When Adding Item to Cart". I clicked "Add to Cart" to add the product to the cart, I get the upsell screen with the upsell item, the mini cart shows 1 item and the correct price, I select "Add to Cart", My cart now has the upsell item, but NOT the original product, and now the mini cart shows the upsell item's price. If I select "No, Thank You" on the upsell screen, the product is in the cart as expected. I think you're looking for "Cross-Sells" a cross-sell is an additional item that will be added with the original item. An up-sell is a REPLACEMENT for the original item. For example, you sell a remote control car for $19.99. The more expensive $29.99 remote control car with more features would be an up-sell. Batteries would be a cross-sell.

Ah, I was thinking it might be an add-on like a related part... a holster would be an up-sell for a pistol.
