Quick Search and Advanced Search Problem in BVC version 5.4 rev. 5

On search.aspx the Quick Search Box does not work while only Advanced Search Box returns correct results.
And on the pages other than Search.aspx where there is no Advanced Search Control, the Quick Search box works well.
I am facing this problem only in newer version 5.4 of BVC while in BVC 5 version there is no problem.
Can anyone tell me what is the problem?
