Requiring a phone number with PayPal Express checkout

We're encountering an issue on an SP 3.2 store where if the billing address phone number is required, PayPal Express orders will fail (I guess PayPal doesn't collect this information). Has anyone else experienced this problem? |

Aaron -- I'm not sure -- but we do see a number (probably 1-2 week) of PayPal orders that are "not accepted" by PayPal -- with no explanation, but the orders complete and are marked "Unpaid" -- I do not presently require Phone Numbers -- are you saying that IF you require the phone number, then PayPal fails? Or if you do NOT require it, PayPal fails? |

Hello,
It is my understanding if you are using PP Express their policy is the phone number cannot carry over. I inquired about this last Feb and my web guy came back with it is a PP policy that the number will not carry over. If there is a fix and I am wrong let me know! |

It looks like I was mistaken. After some testing it there is no error if the phone number is required and PayPal doesn't send it over. |
