I am at a loss trying to figure this one out and will be SO grateful if anyone can help me out. For some reason, the tag [[VendorManufacturer.Name]] works in one email template and not another. I am using 2 emails that get sent out when an order is charged: Email A is sent to my order administrator and the [[VendorManufacturer.Name]] does NOT work, it simply shows up like this: Email B seems to work just fine and is using the SAME [[VendorManufacturer.Name]]. See pic. Any ideas on what is going on? This has been driving me crazy for hours and I would love some help. Many thanks in advance! stealthauto2 attached the following image(s): EmailA.gif (9kb) downloaded 58 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments. Try to login or register.

How are the emails triggered? From a workflow task? What workflow fires them off and where in the workflow is your task.
It could be a problem with the context for the workflow when the order is changed.

Is it possible that 5.6 could fix this problem? Bueller? Bueller?

Todd,
I dug into this a little deeper and here is what I've found:
1) The tag works in the drop ship email because it goes to a single Vendor or Manufacturer. The system passes that Vendor/Manufacturer to the email template and the tag can be replaced.
2) In the Admin email there are potentially, lots of vendors and manufacturers so the the system doesn't know which one to use in the replacement tag for the body.
I think it would be possible to support the tag in the admin email but it comes at a price. We would need to load up every vendor/manufacturer from the database for the entire order before replacing the tags. I don't know if this extra overhead for every email that goes out is worth the use of the tag.
Thoughts?
