Hi All,

Our company wants to give away a free t-shirt with purchase of another product. I am struggling with a way to do this due to the fact that the customer would have to choose a size (S, M, L, XL) for their shirt before the products could be added to the cart. All our shirt sizes are setup as seperate products. Example:

TShirtSKU1 = Blue Style, small
TShirtSKU2 = Blue Style, medium

TShirtSKU3 = Blue Style, large

Does anybody have any ideas on how we can accomplish this?? We are running <SPAN id=ctl00_Header1_lblVersion>BV Commerce 5 SP3.2.

Thanks much!

Have you tried creating a "Buy One Get One" offer?

Aaron, yes it adds the product but does not allow the user to select a size.

Bummer. I knew it couldn't be that easy. It sounds like the only solution is to go the development route.

Add a shared choice. Won't do the SKU or inventory thing, but it will go on the paperwork.

Free T shirt?:

TShirtSKU0 = No thanks
TShirtSKU1 = Blue Style, small
TShirtSKU2 = Blue Style, medium
TShirtSKU3 = Blue Style, large

Service Pack 5.6 was just released. It includes a new offer type of "Free Promo Item" from a specific category. You can create a new category for the t-shirts and then when the customer qualifies they can add any one T-shirt from that category for free to their order.

Another option would be to use kits in 5.4 and later to give the customer a choice of which T-shirt size to bundle with the main item.
