I might be missing something but I recently upgraded a customer from BV2004 to BV 5 and they were asking why the ability to do a batch order update was missing from the new store.

I know there is a drop down at the bottom that allows you to do a few things to all the orders you have checked but the big options that they use are Mark as shipped, or Mark Complete. These folks process 1000's of orders a day and they loved the ability to do that on the old store.

Has anyone run into this or found an easy fix?

Thank you in advance.

Yes I have exactly the same issue with a client that we just upgraded. They want the bulk order updating as BV2004 had.

In BVC 2004 the "paid" and "shipped" status were really just flag without business logic to verify the items were shipped or paid. In BV 5 the status of Paid and Shipped is calculated by looking at the actual state of the order.

In the latest version of BV 5 there is a drop down list at the bottom of the order screen labeled "Batch Update Checked Orders." The option "Capture Funds for Authorized Orders" does the same thing as the "Mark Paid" batch updated in BVC 2004. It's more sophisticated since it actually charges the cards and will show orders that failed as unpaid or problem orders.

Batch shipping is not in the latest version of BV 5. However, it is something that I hope to include in a service pack very soon. Shipping can be much more complicated in BV 5 and creating a standard behavior for "batch ship" is not as simple as it might seem. Many of our customers have specific shipping procedures that don't lend themselves to a bulk update on orders but I think we can find a solution.
