How to clean up (delete) the old olders to make the performance better?

Is there any body has the add-on programs to clean up the old orders upto a period time for BVC 5.5?

What performance problems are you seeing? How many orders do you have in the system, if you don't mind me asking? |

Just like the shopping cart, BVC 5.5 has built in option for clean up the cart to improve the performance! No matter how many old orders we have, clean up always make a much better performance!

In general I would agree with you, but you're throwing out customer data (i.e. their order history) and the ability to mine that data (e.g. reporting and product suggestions based on order history). I'd really like to know what kind of performance problems you're seeing and at what volume you're experiencing them. I haven't seen this problem, so I'd like to prevent it from happening to our clients.
As to your original question, no, there are no add-ons that I know of that will do this. It would be a pretty simple customization, though. |

Admin > Options (Top Nav) > Order (Left Nav)
Scroll down, "Run Cart Cleanup" button might be what you're looking for?
I wouldn't suggest deleting customer orders that have been processed and finalized. I still see orders from 2000 on sites I'm loyal too. |

The shopping cart is just a tool to let our customers to place order easiers, all orders will be processed offline!
Just like most of accounting systems or UPS system always suggest to archive history to make the system to perform betters!
There is no doubt! Bigger the data base, slower the system will be!
