I got my front page to validate 100% transitional, but its seems impossible to get product pages and cat pages. The controls always wrap everything in a span.
Anyone worry about this or just let it go?

Don't sweat it. It's all fixable given enough time and effort, but all you'll get is the satisfaction of knowing that it validates. Not worth it in my opinion. |

asp.net versions prior to 4.0 can't really fully validate without tons of work. The good news is that it doesn't really matter much as major browsers are very tolerant. Webforms and MVC in .net 4.0 will support rending fully validating controls.
