I am working with a BV5.4 site that did not have any source to their dll's within their projects.

From the account downloads I downloaded Version 5.4

Problem original core dll's are version 5.4.0.4

Dll's in the 5.4 download are version 5.4.0.5

All seems to be working good so far but am a little concerned with the version differences.
I do not have the source to the 5.4.0.4 dll's so I cannot compare.

Guess these are all 5.4 revision 5 files.

We'll see how it goes.

Thanks

I'm using BV5.5 and BVSoftware.Bvc5.Core's assembly information states that it is 5.4.0.5. I've always found it strange that BV 5.5's core dll with a minor version of 4 instead of 5.

Basically, I think there's a good chance you might have BV 5.5 source code, not 5.4.

BTW, if you have access to a .net DLL you technically have access to the source code... Any .net DLL can be decompiled into source code.

If you don't have the source, and want it (and you're not violating any licensing agreements) checkout RedGate's reflector. http://www.red-gate.com/products/reflector/

That should allow you to get the project's source code, and recompile the project so that it doesn't give you those warnings/errors.
