Is it possible to host BV Commerce 5 on GoDaddy? Talked to the technical people there and they indicate only way to install would be to copy files, cannot do an exe install. Has anyone else done this with success? Just curous what the steps are if it can work.
Thanks Wayne

You don't need to run the .exe to install BV; that just makes it easier. You can simply upload the files and then run the SQL install scripts. That said, I'm not sure how great of a host Go Daddy will be for something like BV. They might not allot enough memory to your IIS App Pool for BV to run optimally. If they're not giving you at least 100 MB (and preferably double that) you will likely have performance problems. |

Wayne, you can get affordable hosting from any of the host advertising at the top on the BV Forums. Do yourself a favor and go with one of them. They work with BV every day. |

My intention with GoDaddy was just for our demo site. Not actually hosting a live client. Thanks for input. I may try it just to see how it goes.
