PayPal does not seem to be passing back the customer phone number from PayPal even though I have the profile (in PayPal) set to require the phone number. I also don't see where I can view this in the PayPal account. Has anyone been able to get customer phone numbers from PayPal? Is this a limitation of the BV integration or will PayPal just not send this information? |

Aaron, as a merchant I was recieving emails from PayPal notifying me of payments rec'vd. These emails would contain the phone numbers of customers that made purchases. This was working ok up until about three weeks ago and all of a sudden they stopped having the phone numbers included in the emails. I have no idea if Paypal has changed something up or not. I have never recv'd the phone numbers in the orders section of the admin side. I don't think, and I maybe wrong about this, that Paypal sends phone numbers of their clients through the api. I'm pretty sure that the change we made in the profile to require the phone number field made the difference. I'm going to do some more digging to see if we can get PayPal to pass the phone number back to the store. We shall see... |
