We currently filter out our internal traffic by IP address in our GA. The problem is when an order is placed internally. None of these orders gets tracked. Anyone have or found a solution to filter out internal traffic (by ip or cookie) except on the receipt page so we can track internal orders?

i know man... i also went to setup goals and realized, how can i have any goals for sales if my orders placed internally dont get tracked? I googled a bit last night but found pretty much the same thing, filter out internal traffic to get better analytics, but nothing about orders being placed internally.

I'm not sure if this is the solution to your issue, or even how it works, because I had a developer set it up for me -- when we place orders internally, in order to track the orders through Google Analytics, I am actually taken to our store Receipt page, as if the order was placed online, that way it hits the tracking code on the Receipt Page.

yeah ours does that too. the problem is that whenever our ip address hits the tracking code on the receipt page, it gets filtered in analytics.

we could just unfilter the ip address, but then our analytics would be skewed way out of control with internal traffic from customer service and myself. I guess we need something that filters our ip address on all of our pages except the receipt page.
