Hi Guys
I am pulling my hair out with my hosting company, they have informed that they have migtrated my store to a new hosting platform and since this has been done my site has gone down...I am now getting this error when attempting to access my site.
[NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.] BVSoftware.BVC.DataLayer.SQLDataHelper.ExecuteDataSet(DataRequest request) in D:\Web Sites\esb\BVComponents\SourceForEnterprise\BVSoftware.BVC.DataLayer\SQLDataHelper.vb:118 BVSoftware.BVC.DataLayer.DataFunctions.RunSelectProcedure(String storedProcName) in D:\Web Sites\esb\BVComponents\SourceForEnterprise\BVSoftware.BVC.DataLayer\DataFunctions.vb:145 BVSoftware.BVC.DataLayer.DataFunctions.SiteTerms_GetAll() in D:\Web Sites\esb\BVComponents\SourceForEnterprise\BVSoftware.BVC.DataLayer\DataFunctions.vb:5566 BVSoftware.BVC.Core.Content.SiteTerms.LoadSettings() in D:\Web Sites\esb\BVComponents\SourceForEnterprise\BVSoftware.BVC.Core\Content\SiteTerms.vb:28 BVSoftware.BVC.Core.Content.SiteTerms.GetTerm(String termName) in D:\Web Sites\esb\BVComponents\SourceForEnterprise\BVSoftware.BVC.Core\Content\SiteTerms.vb:45 Header.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) +98 System.Web.UI.Control.OnLoad(EventArgs e) +99 System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() +50 System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() +141 System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() +141 System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) +627
I have to make the changes myself as the new platform does not support the current store..Am I overlooking the obvious here as after 5 days I cannot get the site too work.
Any help or advice would be much aprreciated

Can you log into the admin if you go directly to the admin log (/BVAdmin/login.aspx)? If not, my guess is that there's something wrong with the connection to the database. Perhaps you need to update the database connection string in the Web.config file now that they moved the site. |

A host that moves you on their own accord? Time to find a new host, I would say |
