Bill To Form Fields not being validated in 5.7.x

At Checkout, all of the Ship To panel form fields are being validated, but most of the Bill To Panel form fields are not being validated for content, such as First Name, MI, Last Name, Address, and City. The only fields that are being forced to be filled are Country, State, Zip Code and Telephone.
While most customers will voluntarily fill these fields, it can happen that they could be left blank either intentionally or accidently so most of the billing information will not be captured. This appears to be a code behind/validation error/problem.
Anyone else tested for this issue in BV5.7.x? This is not an issue on our BV5 SP3.2 live site so we can't migrate to BV5.7.3 until it is resolved.
Advised Marcus a few days ago, but have received no reply.

Amendment to the above post.
This issue is seen on the One Page Checkout. The BV2004 3 page checkout works properly.
Sorry for the exclusion.
