After deploying a store from a test server to a live one, the shipping options do not display on the checkout page, not do they show in the admin panel.

The store and it's database were copied back to the test server (put in a different location) from the live one and everything worked fine.

Observations:

Admin > Options > there is nothing shown in the Create New Drop Down.

When clicking Edit for a method listed in Available Methods, the following error is shown:

"Error, editor is not based on Content.BVShippingModule class"

The error is taking place in this code file: "\BVAdmin\Configuration\Shipping_EditMethod.aspx.vb" at procedure "[2]LoadEditor()"[/2]

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Have you tried 5.7.3? 5.7.4 will be out shortly and will also include a fix for this.

Hi Marcus,

I'm getting the exact same error but in this case I have updated all the way to 5.7.3. Is there any workaround for this, other than waiting for 5.7.4? - It's the only thing stopping me from deploying the updated store.

In my case I upgraded from 5.3.2 to 5.7.3 by backing up the live DB and store, restoring them both locally (all worked fine), ran the update (all seemed to work fine) but then tested the store and found that the shipping methods have been completely detached in just the way Dom described.

Thanks, Matt

UPDATE:: This actually seems to apply to *all* the loaded modules (not just the shipping methods). When I open up the workflow editor none of the usual modules have been loaded. They all just show "- No Tasks Found -"

Matt,

It sounds like you might have missed something during an upgrade. You should probably use a "diff" utility like Beyond Compare to find out what's different between a standard 5.7.3 install and your install.

Do you need help using a "diff" tool?

Hi Marcus,

Thanks for getting back so quickly. Well, yes, that does seem to be the problem (something missed) because I've run the updated on the same folder again (over the top of the last 'updated' version) and tentatively it seems to have worked. It's slightly odd because I've used the updated OOTB both times. Maybe something was locked first time round.

Now that I can complete an order I have descovered a new problem (to do with the AES) which I hope you can help with, I'll post it in a new thread to avoid hijcaking the topic of this one.

Thanks, Matt
