Hi there, I'm evaluating the BV Commerce 5.x downloadable trial. Is the trial download the full version of BV Commerce with full source code? Or is the trial the non-source code version of BV Commerce? I'm finding that it the trial does include some source code (i.e. under $/BVModules), but I'm finding that some of the source code is not available such as the .dlls under $/bin.
If the downloadable trial is the non-source code version, what are some development scenarios where the source code version of BV Commerce would be necessary?

Shan,
If you need to change business logic, then chances are likely that you would need the full source. Most visual and some functional changes can be accomplished without altering the software core. |

You do get the source for the web (wwwroot and subs) section since the 5 version is not pre-compiled. Having the source is also good for reference if you extend with your own dll's. Unless you simply want a boxed solution it is best to have the source. |
