I am a big fan of the *select all* checkbox found in BV2004 when editing categories (adding, removing, etc..) Matt@9BallDesign attached the following image(s): select-all.gif (16kb) downloaded 114 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments. Try to login or register. |

Second that. I'd like to also see 'select all' when adding products to a category, rotator, etc. |

Inventory control: 1)I would like to see the ability to store inventory by location. 2)Generate a packing list/pick list that indicates where to pick the inventory. -Primary and Secondary Locations -Establish A Forward Pick List |

A pick list that is sorted by location. It directs the person picking the product to go to the furthest part of the warehouse first and work their way to the staging or shipping station in the most direct manner. Where manual order picking is the norm it is effective in reducing excessive time to pick orders. In using this method you would want to keep the fastest moving items as close to the shipping/stagging area. In most cases, this is effective in reducing travel time for the order picker within the warehouse. I call this method a Forward Pick list. It may have other names also. |

Rudy and Andy,
I've been to a U-Line warehouse when my order of corregated pads, boxes, craft paper, tape, etc., was being 'picked'. Instead of the farthest items from the door being loaded onto pallets first, they loaded the flattest and largest items first. The smallest boxes, even if nearest the door, were loaded last.
The pick list came out of the computer in load-order, bottom up. My orders are usually two pallets, and each pallet had a list and a projected weight and girth.
As Rudy said, in a warehouse moving similar sized items like books, the best way would be to route your picker for flow rather than bulk-load. |
