It would be great if on the Order Manager Screen, or on the Order Invoice Printout to denote if the customer was a new or repeat customer (had placed an order before) -- I include materials with new orders and sometimes I can't always remember, and the only other way is for me to open QuickBooks Customer Manager to see if they had placed an order previously. |

That's a good suggestion. I don't think I'd react negatively if I saw a Customer Has Ordered X Times, Repeat Customer, New Customer, etc. on a packing slip in an order I've made, but I think it would be better to hide that detail for internal use only. |

Yes, this would be very useful - and there should be an option for internal use only, or to have some "thank you" text for returning customers.

A little bit of meta-data about a user would always be helpful. However, please do see that we can switch it off when not required (probably the default is off and configurable in BVAdmin -> Options). Dont want to carry all the meta data of a user in every transaction. I would like to see the following: a. Number of Orders placed b. Type of products ordered (at least what categories) - I would expect that to build up over time c. Average order amount d. Order Frequency (how often does he place an order)
I would imagine the meta data to be build once every X days, etc. Definitely not real time but a trend.

Satya, that would make for a great reports feature as well. It's kind of already in the system if you go to reports and click top customers and then the view link for the customer OR click people and edit for a customer.
The saved search phrases is a little gem that I've pointed out to clients. One client does a ton of phone orders, which is preferable, this allows them to chat with the person and make some deals, upsell, etc... seeing that the caller (assuming they are in the system) may have searched for liquid soap allows a rep to slide a "not sure if you've received our newsletter but we're having a special on soaps this month..." in the conversation. |
