I think the one page checkout should have a second screen to review the products, discounts, and order information before a final submission. I actually made one of these for an earlier version of BV. Is there any data that tells whether a one step checkout or multi step checkout is better? I know the principle that states the more steps that come between the customer and buying the product the less likely the customer will buy. Amazon uses a multi step checkout but maybe they can do this because they are Amazon and are just so huge.

Nielson Norman Group did some research a few years ago and found that the number of steps doesn't make much difference as long as the customer has a clear, simple choice to progress onward and ALSO has a clear view of how many steps their are.
Step 1 of 4 with a "Next Step->" and "<- Go Back" button set should be just as effective as a one-page checkout.
However, there is a psychological effect in play to have everything on a single page. By using AJAX callbacks instead of page loads the customer is much more willing to wait the exact same amount of time between loading data. The key is making sure the one-page checkout is well designed.
