This post is about the pre-release version of my Shipping Rate Provider Suite for BVC5 adds 4 powerful new shipping rate providers to BVC5. I think you'll be able to handle just about any shipping rate calculations you can dream up. The Suite includes... Item Rules - Every item in the order can have a different calculation based on virtually any item related property including custom product properties. Package Rules - Each package can have a different calculation based on any package property including any address field. Item Router - Let's you send each item to a different shipping method. For example, heavy items can use By Weight, while light items use UPS. Package Router - Like Item Router, send each package to a different shipping method based on package properties. let me know what you think! |

I've updated the pre-release to include the distance in miles between the package source and destination. For example,
1. When Distance in Miles <= 100, Cost = Package Weight * 0
2. When Distance in Miles > 100, Cost = Package Weight * 1.0
3. When Distance in Miles > 1000, Cost = Package Weight * 2.0
I've also added the ability import and export rule sets to make it easier to create similar shipping methods or share complicated rule sets with your friends. |
