Hi, ProductPackages: A BV marketing offer that allows you to combine products and offer package prices. Dan,
Ofcourse you can download, install and try. The plugin has only one limitation. It will only recognize the first package added to a cart. So if you add multiple packages only one will be recognized and the discount applied.
However it will display all the packages for the products and allow full testing and integration.

Is the limitation on the test plugin download? Is this limitation removed once purchased? |

Dan,
The plugin has the limitation because it can't find the licence file. Once purchased the limitation is removed once you save the licence file in the same directory as the dll without having to deploy anything else.
What version of BV do you run? It looks like I have to build separate DLLs for all the different versions of BV out there as this version is build agains SP2 I think.
I'm about to release a new version with few more bug fixes and a new css. Give me a day before you download and deploy.

Yes, I use it on www.bestgames.com.au which is a SP2 site. Contact me on corneliu at bestgames com au if you have any issues with the downloaded package but I expected it works ootb. Corneliu. |

How does the bundling handle products that have choices or modifiers? How does the customer go about selecting the options for each item in the bundle? Just asking quiestions right now, plan on downloading and playing with it this weekend. |

Good question. As I don't use modifiers I've never tested that part of it. Because the packaging works the same way as the discount one (you select the main product for the package), I'd expect changing modifiers/choices would have no impact. The discount is done from the original price of the product so if a modifier changes the price the discount is still applied correctly.
E.g. Product 1 $40 + Product 2 $50 = Package @ $80 (save $10)
Then the user selects Product 1.A ($40 + $5 for A option) + Product 2 ($50) = $58 (still save $10) but you get +$5 due to the option A.

hmmm i installed it, ran the scripts: i did get this error with all 3... Msg 102, Level 15, State 1, Line 1 Incorrect syntax near ']'.
I go on the site, create a package and nothing shows up on my product page.

I also have a question about product modifiers. I found that some manufacturers will only bundle certain options with certian products. So the bundle can be purchased when a certain modifier is selected....
