In reading through the Shipper product information for BV 5 I saw that "dropshippers have direct access to shipments." Can anyone who has used this feature expand on this i.e. do dropshippers get access via some number provided to them at packing slip level and then login to update shipping info., are they able to print a shipping label or can I send them a shipping label to be printed out?
Just trying to figure out how to manage shipments using Shipper, my proposed site will only use dropshippers.

Each of your drop shippers would need a copy of Shipper installed on their computer. You would create a unique username for each dropshipper so that they would only see their own shipments. Other than that, they would use Shipper in the same way you would if you did your own shipper. That is, they would run Send/Receive to download all of their pending shipments for your store, then print the labels using the appropriate carrier software (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, etc), and finally run Send/Receive again to upload the tracking number, etc. back to your store.
BTW, Shipper and the shipping providers (Shipping Rate Rule Providers for example) are different products. |
