Quotation System

Anyone have a solution for a quotation system for BV?
Something needed but I have not looked into it yet myself.
Would not send an email to the customer until triggered by the admin.

That would be pretty slick. If it were implemented for BV it would need to be a separate mini-app, though, since there would be so much more functionality and data points to store than the OOTB reviews system.


That's an easy one. We've even done that for BV 2004. Maybe we can add that feature to the next release of our toolkit.

1. Sales by brand/MFG/Vendor - sort options clicking table headers (Name, SKU, Volume) - export capability



2. Individual customer complete order history (not necessarily a report though, probably better applied to people admin). Ability to print and/or export capability



3. Search Term Identifier - if recording customer searches, find customers that searched for a given term (I believe search terms are recorded to those user with accounts)



4. Added to Cart, Never Purchased - Identify popular non-purchased products, report includes shipping costs of dropped cart. HUGE in my opinion!



5. Top Customer Improvements - Identify Repeat Purchasers, Identify Stagnant Purchasers, tie to SKU, category, global/blanket purchasing - export contact info capability



6. Improvement - traditional product selector is available rather than only being able to type in SKU for product reports

In general the most needed update for you is to have the ability to track the popularity of each product to build targeted compaign. I will think of developing some solution starting with something simple.

The customer sells wholesale. An item price might be like $4.0512. If they sell 1000 of these items, then the price needs to calculate to $4051.20

Yes, we would like to get current warehouse inventory into the web store, and it would be nice to get orders from the web store into their current inventory/shipping system.

It would be nice to prevent orders on the web store if the warehouse is out of stock. Since they use other methods to place orders and ship items, the webstore and the warehouse can easily get "out of sync"

A nightly "batch import / export" might be one way to go, but it would be better "live"

I know that BV Commerce was not really designed for this, but is such a powerful application and we needed something fast with all the great features that BVC has.

I'm affraid it's not add-on but customization as it's about impossible to release the synchronization mechanism that will work with any warehouse application.
