We have another BV Commerce 5 project that we're wrapping up and would love some feedback on. This is a new site for the merchant and the catalog will at least double in size in the short term and expand a lot beyond that as time goes on. The site IS live so only place an order if you want it - thanks. www.byoguitars.comWe have a new tab output for the product pages for any information that the merchant wants in the product detail pages. Currently it's showing the standard BV items, but we will be adding a forum posts tab and a blog tab for the respective products. http://www.byoguitars.com/Guita...acco-Burst__BYOSTTB.aspx |

IE6 - Cats show fine, products are ducking down to the bottom of the page. Product page elements look mis-aligned. I like the tabs. On "get shipping rates" page, is it necessary to have the state inquiry? Zip alone works fine, no? Nice Clean and Colorful looking site. Pages load fast. Especially like the fingers when I put my cursor over the top tabs and the product data tabs. Nice touch.. |

Just a side note, because this is an issue that a lot of theme developers probably run into. IE6 has a bug where it doubles margins on certain floated elements, which is, of course, incredibly annoying and frustrating. However, you can get around it without hacking up your CSS by using display: inline; on those floated elements. It won't actually display them inline, because they're floated. Other browsers just ignore the declaration, but I usually like to put it in a separate IE6 stylesheet served by conditional comments to those remaining stubborn, often vapid IE6-usin' rebels. |

Hey Noah.
Not going to say to much other than I like the site. Lots of potential here! Kinda reminds me of older Heathkit days for guitars :) I guess they are coming back also in robotics. Anyway great start and best of luck! |

Nice touch with the HeaderNavMenu. I feel like I can play a little geetar now myself! I do like the way you themed this one out. All the touches especially on the home page work really well with the feel of the site.
Love the product page with the tab control on the product pages... nice work. Looks great!
Things to consider... you could use a hover style change on the left nav, and the breadcrumbs are a tad bright... try using #900 instead of the bright red. I would also put the grey background on the search page ( the sitemap has it ). Over all well done. |
