I am trying to keep 1st class mail excluded for packages under .5 lbs. It looks like I've got it set up properly with "When weight is greater than .5, Hide this method". But it is still allowing one of my items with .6 lbs weight to be shipped 1st Class. Is the system rounding up to the nearest pound maybe?

First Class Mail only works with packages less than 13 oz. Are you really saying that you only want to use this method for packages between 8 and 13 oz?

No, I'm saying that if it's greater than 8oz (or between 8 and 13 oz), "hide this method". I really only want to offer this shipping method for one small item on our site, which is a keychain weighing .2 lbs, and then only 2 of them.

I tested this on our demo site and it works properly. I took a look at your site and I think I see the issue: you still have a "1st Class Mail" method. The rule method that you created is being hidden but this method isn't. What you need to do is remove this method and create a Wrapper method (and then inside it set it to USPS First Class Mail). The Wrapper method gives you the ability to create hidden methods. Then in your rule method set the cost to pull the rate from the Wrapper method.
