System Requirements
BV Commerce 2018 requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2 which in turn requires Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 or above. If you're unsure whether your server supports this please contact your hosting company.

Pricing
Customers with BVC 2013+
If you have a current BV.NEXT plan you can download this update from your account for free. Log in to your account to check the status of your BV.NEXT plan. If your plan has expired you can renew it for a prorated amount rather than purchasing a new license.
Everyone Else
If you have an older version of BV Commerce (e.g. 2004, 5.X, etc), or are a new BV Commerce customer, you can purchase a license for $995. You can learn more about the upgrade path from older versions by reading this article.

Attention BVC 5 Customers
Support for BV Commerce 5 ended on June 30, 2017. Please upgrade as soon as possible to ensure that your site supports the latest security requirements and continues to work with third-party integrations like your credit card payment gateway (e.g. Authorize.Net), PayPal, and UPS.

First, make sure you understand what Content Columns, and the Content Blocks they contain, are and how they work. Read this article for a thorough explanation.

Assuming that you understand Content Columns, the new "Content Column" Content Block allows you to use an existing Content Column inside another Content Column. For example, let's say that you create a Content Column to share common product information across a family of products using the product's pre or post-Content Column setting. Now, let's say that this information contains a paragraph of content that is about the manufacturer. This content would be the same across all products from that manufacturer, not just this family of products. So, rather than having to include this manufacturer info in each product family Content Column, you could create a separate Content Column for this general manufacturer info and then include that Content Column inside your product family Content Columns. Now, if you want to update the manufacturer content, you only have to edit the manufacturer Content Column rather than each product family Content Column.
